8 a.m. – The local filmmakers who created “Shiro’s Head” needs help to attend a Los Angeles film festival where their movie is a finalist for The Grand Jury Prize for “Best Narrative Feature.”
The Guam produced filmed is scheduled to be shown at the Director’s Guild of America Theater 2 on May 1 at 10 p.m. as part of the 25th Annual Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival.
Brothers and co-directors Don and Kel Muna plan to attend the event scheduled to be held from April 30 to May 7 and are hosting a fundraiser Tuesday from 6 to 10 p.m. at Ralphy’s Lounge in Hagåtña.
Proceeds from the event will pay for the Muna brothers’ travel and accommodation expenses.
Local bands, the Poetry Slam, and several local artists will join them to donate their poems and personal art pieces, which will be displayed throughout the lounge in a silent auction.
