Brushstrokes of a Fokai Femme ACHIEVER: Michelle Pier Opens Creative Indeed in Tumon

Bold, visionary, and deeply rooted in her roots, Michelle Pier is making waves with the grand opening of her vibrant Creative Indeed Art Studio at Acanta Mall in Tumon. Launched on August 1, 2025, the studio welcomed the community with live music from Pacific Cool, local vendor pop-ups, refreshments, and painting giveaways in a festive celebration of art and island pride.

🌺 An Achiever in Full Bloom

Michelle Pier embodies the spirit of a Fokai Femme Achiever—resilient, resourceful, and relentlessly pushing forward in her art and entrepreneurial endeavors for Guam. A self-taught artist with Chamorro, European, and Native American lineage, Michelle has spent nearly two decades building her presence as a Guam-based creative force, exhibiting and selling hundreds of original acrylic paintings locally and internationally.

Her inspiration? Guam’s natural beauty — waves, jungles, latte stones, native guasali flowers — rendered in vivid palettes, thick textures, and metallic highlights that seem to glow. Her work captures life, light, flow, and movement with an energy that speaks directly to island spirit.

🎨 Creative Indeed: More Than a Studio

At the heart of Michelle’s new studio is Creative Canvas Camp, a 12-week art program for middle schoolers launching September 1. Offered at a subsidized fee of $200 (valued at $1,200), the camp includes all supplies, studio time, mentorship, and training in marketing, budgeting, portfolio-building, and mindset. Funded by a Guam Economic Development Authority grant, there are 40 spots available—plus five full scholarships by application.

Students will emerge not just as creatives, but as young professionals—equipped with skills to exhibit their work and start shaping their artistic paths.

🖌️ Services & Studio Life

Creative Indeed also offers:

  • Open studio sessions ($10/hr + supply fees) for high schoolers and adults needing space and resources.

  • Private paint parties (6–15 people): small or medium canvas sessions hosted by Michelle herself.

  • Studio rentals for workshops, classes, and events at $50/hr, with full access to painting gear, easels, aprons, art books, creative workspace, iMac, Adobe software, Microsoft Office, printing, coffee, fridge, and more.

The space doubles as a creative hub and resource library—a place to learn, create, reflect, and grow.
