Its been a really impressive journey with the last ten years or so of not just Guam combat sports, but pretty much also of the rest of the World. In this island there are at least Thirty Martial Arts Gyms and training centers, there are 3 title events, probably about a few hundred people training in the grappling arts and at least another hundred gearing fr Mixed Martial Arts. In the rest f the world, you could multiply thse numbers by a hundred thousand. With all the different categories in weight, belt color, ethnicity, gender, gym affiliation, discipline, and style that we can come up with, common ground remains with everyone in the pursuit of self improvement as well as in sacrifice, celebration, camaraderie, and (hopefully) positive purpose. For as many of our fighters that have fought abroad, we should also applaud the foreigners who have fought here and for those that continue to compete here. Many have come and gone, many return, but all of them have come through, this wonderful support structure, the fans of Martial Arts.
For all the open arms we offer our respectful visitors, we can gain the confidence in the better atmosphere for our venturing brothers and sisters in world competition.
