28 Aug VANSWarpedTour: WhatsUpWithTheSoCalProject
It was a blazin hot day in Chula Vista California, the speakers where stacked to the sky, mo hawks where spiked & Dyed, and the Fokai SoCal Project was on the scene of the 2008 VANS WARPED TOUR. We partyed like rock stars (w/ rock stars) and even met some OG’s in the action sports world. (Note: Buy VANS! The owner is super cool. Vibes like Fokai.) Anyway, I cant even remember how many bands there were but lets just say a shet load. Every where you looked there was a mosh pit stomping to some of the most heaviest tunes I’ve ever heard and randomly a crew of dudes would skate through on FreeLines never missing a beat.We posted up from our booth that we shared with Overload Skate Shop (BTW- Thanks to A-Ron for hooking that up). We were surrounde by 3 stages, not to mention we were the only booth next to the only half pipe at the event. Ya Bro! Needless to say, while passing out about 2000+, flyers we had the best seats in the house. Special thanks to Sky Vodka & Lost Energy Drink for making the day even more interesting. Here are a few pics from that day.Final Plugs: To see who played this years tour visit www.Vanswarpedtour.com for entire band line up. Stay tuned to for the Fokai FreeLine Collabo coming soon. Visit www.FreeLineSkates.com if you don’t know what that is yet. Also, listen to Westside Story www.myspace.com/oficialwestsidestory. The keybordest Mike Quinones is Chamorro.
